I’m sorry that it’s been a while since I’ve blogged. As usual it’s been busy over Xmas and new year with friends and family. It’s been great! One of the best times I’ve had since I can remember but I put that down to feeling good. I’ve been back to work since and doing alright. I’ve got back to full nurse duties. Looking after a bay of patients by myself with much less help needed from everyone else. I find myself helping out others if I have chance. That is a good sign that I’m doing well.
I’m still working on a good work/life balance. I’m now just like any other 27 yr old. The only difference is that I need to be a bit more careful, but that comes natural from having to be that way for years. I’m so much more productive now. It was hard to have the motivation to do anything. I’ve got plans to increase my working hours, go on weekends away, possibly a holiday at some point and doing up my flat. I’ve told myself that I’m not moving for a long time because I’ve done enough moving around, I’m settled here, my friends and family are close by and the hospital is one train stop away. Sorry London, I don’t think I’ll be moving anytime soon. It was an idea to move there, but everything is going great here that I wouldn’t want to change a thing.
I have a HIDA scan coming up at the end of the month which looks at the bile ducts, liver, biliary system and gallbladder. I expect they won’t find a gallbladder because I haven’t got one. It was removed as a baby. They are still doing tests after that ?Cholangitis I had in December. I’m still on antibiotics but only have a week left.
I hope you have all had a lovely Xmas and new year!
