22.12.18 – Home Today

I’m keeping my fingers crossed to be discharged today. I’ve just seen the Dr and if I feel well enough, they can let me go home! Woohooo! I have so many presents to wrap and organise ready for when I go home on Monday. My flat mate has been collecting my parcels from the concierge for me so that I’m not having to collect so many when I get back home.

I might have just had my final meal here. I’ve managed to continue having my 5 fruit and veg a day, which I try my best to do at home. Anything to keep as healthy as possible. I’ve drank more water and stayed rested, apart from walking the 7 flights of stairs each day to keep me moving about a little.

Very random meal 😂

The Drs mentioned that they want me to have another scan as an outpatient and to attend clinic in 4 weeks time for review. The results for the barium swallow X-ray came back as normal, but they still think that somethings not quite right. More tests are required to confirm their theory as to how I got Cholangitis.

I’m looking forward to getting back home to have a look at all the presents I’ve bought, putting them all together to make sure I’ve got enough for everyone. I want to spoil everyone after what my friends and family have done for me this year.

Mum on video chat – modelling her outfit for me for my opinion.

Whilst I’ve been here, I’ve had 3 costa coffees bought for me with snacks from a friend, my clothes brought in by my flat made, parents visiting, family and other friends. I’m very lucky. My other friend who’s had her second transplant also walked to my room twice rather than me come to her! It was great to see her on her feet and managing a little more each day. She’s had all her drains out and only needing a very minimal amount of pain relief. Drs are saying she’s doing amazingly well.

All is great in time for Xmas! I’m doing well after this little hiccup. I’m looking forward to getting back into the festive spirit and wrapping presents at home whilst watching Christmas films. I need to buy some wrapping paper first! Hmmmm….. what colour scheme should I go for….? 😂

I hope you are all enjoying the festivities! 🌲
