17.03.20 – Self Isolation

I was sent home by my manager today to self isolate. Government advice should be followed and yesterday they published new stricter guidelines.

You can find the most up to date information on gov.uk. website.

My flat mate is now working home, but no need to isolate. So because she is allowed out, it poses more risk to myself. I have decided that there is no choice but to go home to my parents. They are able to feed me, entertain me and support me.

I’ve got my birthday in a couple of days and originally planned to go away to Bristol, we have been offered to move the dates, so I’ll make sure it’s much later on in the year once COVID -19 has settled down.

Stay safe everyone!

  1. The important thing is to stay safe. I’m self isolating at home too. Busying myself with little jobs in the house and pottering in the garden when weather permits.
    Keep well. xx

  2. Hi Olivia
Glad your ok dear . These are very trying times these days.
One thing we have going fir us is that we already practise enhanced hygiene and social distancing ( who amongst us hadn’t exited stage left when a sick person comes close).
Yes it’s the carriers that is a big concern now . So just keep up our post transplant habits and we shall weather this storm.
    Aside
I recently watched the Netflix series The Crown . Thought it was very well done . Not sure of its historical accuracy but probably relatively similar .
As a member of the commonwealth I remember singing God save the Queen in school & national anthem every morning .
The Queen carried a lot on her shoulders during her reign . What’s your take ?

    1. Oh gosh. Yes for some people it’s as if they think the level of hygiene is a new thing. 😂.
My hands are super dry but it’s so worth it.
Ohh I’ve always sang the anthem, at school, with family, concerts etc.
I’ll have to watch the crown then. Thanks

  3. It’s a great idea to go home Olivia you know you will be safe there. Also a good opportunity to do more of your you tube blogs maybe. Take care and a very happy birthday when it arrives. ❤️
