A last minute trip was planned to go home. I was already in Spain for a beautiful wedding in Almeria so it was a short trip back home. I had planned to come in November but as there were a few events I wished to attend, I jumped on the plane from Madrid and arrived in London Heathrow a few hours later.
I had only told my youngest sister and a few friends that I was arriving as I needed somewhere to stay and wanted to visit as many people as I could. My eldest sister, however I wanted to surprise. She had a launch party for her Pilates studio in London so I thought it would be lovely to celebrate with her. I lay low and hid out in the countryside at my younger sisters until the event 5 days later. She was very pleased to see me, along with my parents that I thought I’d surprise at the same time.
They were over the moon that I was home and I know my mum especially wanted to keep me home. 😂
I’m back in the states now but missing them all dearly. I’ll be back soon!
Update: Booked my first liver appointment here. It’s scheduled for January. Missing my liver team back in Birmingham for sure but I’m sure I’ll be looked after well here.

I’m still at the QE , I see izzy ( isobel ) now as opposed to any big hepatologists , izzy is lovely, I did ask her back in June if she knew you and obviously she did as she commented on your white suit .
