25.06.24: New Wife, New Life

I’ve started this blog back up again because, well apart from the fact that I’ve been paying to keep this website open, I’ve missed it!

As the title states, I’m newly married and living in a different country. Yes! My new husband and I have moved to Ohio, USA. We moved for his new job which has opened up new horizons for us, new beginnings and a clean slate for us both. This is what we both needed I think.

Whilst I’m still finding my feet, it’s given me time to reflect back on what I enjoyed the most and what I’ve been most proud of in life. I’ve been reading my self help books because honestly, these last few years have been, challenging. I’ve been trying to balance hard work and trying to fix general complaints. In particular stomach upset, and really trying to dig deep as to what was causing it, when in reality it’s just been adding stress and causing more problems. I’ve just been trying to seek out perfection for too long when I just needed to relax and take a step back. We all know stress has a profound effect on the body.

This new start has allowed me to really do that and evaluate what really makes me happy in life, what my real purpose is…which I’m still trying to work out. I’ve thrown ideas about but never really attempted them.

I hope this next chapter in life brings joy, happiness and inner peace which I so long for.

Last but not least, introducing my loving husband, Stephen….

On our wedding day.
